More Balboa PTA Recipes From the '60s
Beef and Waterchestnut Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup raw rice
- 2/3 cup diced celery
- 1 can water chestnuts (sliced)
- 1 pkg. slivered almonds
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1-3/4 soup can water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- Onions may be added if desired
Brown meat and add other ingredients. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes in 350°F oven, uncovered. Stir a couple of times. Serves 6 to 8.
