Bran Muffins


Add bran to milk. Let stand 5 minutes. Cream shortening with sugar. Add egg and beat until smooth. Add to bran mixture. Mix flour, baking powder and salt only until blended. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 400°F about 25 minutes. Makes 8 to 12 muffins.
