More Balboa PTA Recipes From the '60s
Butterscotch Bread
- 3/4 cup dates (chopped)
- 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)
- Orange rind (grated)
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 cups biscuit mix
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/4 cup milk
Chop dates and walnuts. Add rind of one small orange. Mix with dry ingredients (brown sugar and biscuit mix). Beat egg until bubbly and add milk. Stir. Beat 1/2 min. Bake 350°F for 1 hour in 8½ x 4½-inch greased pan.
