Quick Candied Ginger Yams


Remove yams (reserve syrup) and place in well greased baking pan. Crush ginger snaps with a rolling pin and add to syrup. Add melted butter and baking powder. If extra sweetness is desired sprinkle over each yam brown or granulated sugar. Sprinkle lemon juice over yams. Bake in 350°F oven for 20 minutes.
