English Toffee


Crumble wafers. Put half in bottom [of] square Pyrex dish. Reserve other half for topping. Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg yolks, melted chocolate, walnuts and vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour chocolate mixture in dish. Sprinkle remaining wafers on top. Refrigerate 8 hours. Cut in squares and top with whipped cream. Serves 9.
