More Balboa PTA Recipes From the '60s
Greek Dressing
- 3/4 lb. ground meat
- 1 large onion
- 2 Tbsp. parsley (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. mint leaf
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 cup raisins
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 2 Tbsp. pignolias (pine nuts)
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cans water
- 1½ cup rice
Brown meat and onion in fat, add other ingredients except rice. Cover, simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Add rice, cook 30 mintues [over] low heat. Let stand. Excellent main dish or stuffing. Ususally made the day before for stuffing.
