More Balboa PTA Recipes From the '60s
Hamburger Stroganoff
- 1½ lb. ground meat
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 cube margarine
- 1 garlic (minced)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 pkg. noodles
- 1 lge. carton sour cream
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can ripe olives (15 oz.)
- 1 can water chestnuts (sliced)
- Grated cheese (optional)
Cook meat, onion, garlic in margarine in fry pan. Add salt, pepper and flour. Then add soups (undiluted), olives and water chestnuts. Cook 10 minutes. Cook noodles and add to mixture. Add sour cream. Bake 1 hour at 300°F. Top with grated cheese. This is good served with a tossed salad and french bread.
