Hot Cranberry Punch
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Lemon slices
- 4 cups pineapple juice (unsweetened)
- 3 cups water
- 2 1-lb. cans jellied cranberry sauce
- Red food coloring [probably optional]
Combine sugar, 1 cup water, spices and salt. Bring to boil. Add juice, 3 cups water. Crush sauce with fork and add. Boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Add coloring [if desired]. Pour in heated punch bowl. Float lemon slices. Makes 2½ qts.
