More Balboa PTA Recipes From the '60s
Rosy Macaroni
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 1/2 cup green pepper (chopped)
- 1 garlic (minced)
- 1/3-1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 2 tsp. Worchestershire Sauce
Cook macaroni, onion, green pepper and garlic in hot shortening 10 minutes or until slightly yellow. Stir in tomato juice and seasonings. Bring to boil; reduce heat and cook, covered, 20 minutes. Serves 6.
