More Balboa PTA Recipes From the '60s
Skillet Macaroni and Beef
- 1½ lbs. ground chuck
- Mazola Oil (sm. amt.)
- 1/2 cup onion (minced)
- 1/2 cup green peppers (chopped)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cups macaroni (uncooked - elbow or salad)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 cups Hunt Sauce [probably Hunt's Tomato Sauce]
- 1 cup water
- 1 - 1½ Tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce
Brown meat in Mazola Oil. Add onion, green pepper, salt and pepper. Then add Hunt Sauce, water and Worchestershire Sauce. Add macaroni. Simmer until meat is done and macaroni is tender, stirring often. Add water as needed.
