This recipe was posted by Nancy at Gail's Recipe Swap. She says her mother-in-law got the recipe out of a Boy Scout Manual. These are very quick, very peanut-buttery, and great to make when you need a quick batch of homemade cookies. Don't worry if you eat them all right away... it's easy to make more!  NOTE: The lack of flour in the recipe is not a mistake; these cookies contain only four ingredients, and flour is not one of them.
Combine sugar with peanut butter and blend well. Add vanilla and egg. Blend thoroughly.
Roll into 1" balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet and smash with fork.
(NOTE: These cookies retain their shape while baking.)
Bake 10 minutes at 350F.
