Snappy Meatballs

I acquired this recipe in the late 70's from a former co-worker and friend. This is great as an appetizer or part of a buffet meal. The meatballs can be cooked ahead and then heated with the sauce in a crock pot.

Combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion and salt. Shape into 1" balls.

In frying pan, combine meatballs with chili sauce and grape jelly. Simmer 20 minutes. Serve warm.

MY COOKING METHOD: Fry the meatballs separately and drain them on paper towels. Combine the chili sauce and grape jelly in a sauce pan, stir to blend well. Heat sauce in pan until hot; pour into a crockpot, add meatballs, turn to low setting and heat until meatballs are throughly re-heated. Serve and enjoy!
