Peach Kuchen

This recipe is typed on a card and signed "Aunt Essie". We have no idea who Aunt Essie is -- do you?

Work butter into sifted mixture of flour, baking powder, salt, 2 Tbsp. sugar until mixture looks like coarse corn meal. Pat an even layer of this dry mixture over bottom and halfway up side of 8x8-inch baking pan. Use your hands -- press firmly until pastry holds.

Arrange fruit to cover the bottom. Sprinkle fruit with mixture of cinnamon and the remaining sugar. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Pour egg yolks (beaten) into cream and pour over the top and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour longer.
