Bloom color: Bright orange buds open to orange singles with yellow center; edges quickly darken to red, then to a sort of speckled, watermelon red. The red is more intense in hot weather. In cooler temperatures, the colors look more "peachy".
Bloom time: Continuous, all year.
Scent: Light.
Sun/shade: Prefers full sun, but tolerates some shade.
Moisture: Regular water.
Problems: Subject to rust; otherwise healthy with attractive, shiny leaves.
Conditions: Growing in mostly sun in a southern exposure.
Other comments: Somewhat shade-tolerant. In my opinion, bloom color is best in cooler weather when the yellow, orange, and red seem blend and the overall look is peachy (see close-up image). Good in a vase.
